In Florence there are opportunities to play sports or relax outdoor during leisure time: bicycle lanes to ride a bike, swimming pools, gyms and public parks where you lie down and read a book… you are spoiled for choice!
BIKE LANES
With its 85 km of cycle paths and 31 acres of pedestrian-accessible bike Florence is one of the European cities where it’s nice to move by bike. The historic center is small and plain (runs all around the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria), so it is very simple orientation: for those who do not want to walk or use public transport, cycling is a great alternative!
